AERO
Airport operations software built on ADS-B: operations counts, landing and parking fees, reports, alerts and public displays in one login.
What AERO Does
One system for the airport office, the ramp and the planning team.
AERO turns the ADS-B signals received at and around your airfield into a record of every arrival and departure it captures, matched to the aircraft’s FAA registration.
From that record you can bill landing fees, track parking and overnight stays, report to the FAA and your board, investigate noise complaints, and put arrivals and departures on a lobby screen or your website.
◆ Landing fee invoices from recorded arrivals
◆ Parking, tie-down and overnight stay tracking
◆ Operations counts by hour, day, month and year
◆ Aircraft and tail number lookups against FAA registry data
◆ Reports, exports and FAA planning support
◆ Geofence alarms by email, text message or on screen
◆ Noise complaint intake and investigation
◆ FIDS, kiosk and website displays
◆ Multiple users per airport, with account administration
Landing Fee Billing
Turn recorded arrivals into landing fee invoices.
AERO matches each recorded arrival to the aircraft’s registration and maximum gross landing weight, then prices it with your airport’s landing fee schedule.
Pick a date range and AERO builds the invoices for you, ready to print and mail or to load into your accounting system.
◆ Rate per 1,000 lbs of maximum gross landing weight, or a custom fee schedule set up for your airport
◆ Based aircraft on your roster are left off automatically
◆ Filter by date range, minimum landing weight or a single tail number
◆ PDF invoices addressed to the registered owner, with arrival time, tail number, aircraft make and model, weight and fee
◆ Your airport is the payee, with your own payment instructions, so payments go straight to you
◆ Spreadsheet export of every billable arrival
Parking, Tie-Down and Overnight Tracking
Know which aircraft stayed, where, and for how long.
AERO keeps track of which aircraft are on the field and how long they stay, so transient parking and tie-down fees are based on a record rather than a walk of the ramp.
Keep your based aircraft and tenant lists in AERO, and it will warn you when a permit or lease is about to expire.
◆ Aircraft on Field view: every aircraft remaining overnight, with its last known position on an airfield map and a spreadsheet export
◆ Overnight stays and nights on field for each aircraft over any date range
◆ Based aircraft roster with tail number, owner or operator, parking area and expiration date
◆ Bulk upload of the roster from a spreadsheet template
◆ Other aircraft lists by category and contract, with their operations reported separately
◆ Warnings in the menu when a roster entry is expiring or has expired
◆ Aircraft that stay often are suggested as based aircraft candidates to check against your roster
Operations Counts
Measured arrivals and departures, not estimates.
Every captured operation is logged with local time and, where it can be determined, the runway used. Counts use the same method year after year, so trends are comparable.
Counts are a verified minimum: aircraft without ADS-B Out are not captured, so actual activity is at least what AERO reports.
◆ Arrivals and departures by hour, day, month and year
◆ Runway use, with the share of operations that could be attributed
◆ Touch-and-go, missed approach and go-around detection
◆ Overflights that pass through the airport area without landing
◆ After-hours activity using your airport’s operating hours
◆ Local and itinerant estimates, clearly labeled as estimates
◆ FAA Form 5010 operations categories: air carrier, air taxi, general aviation local and itinerant, and military
Aircraft and Registration Lookups
Every operation tied to a real aircraft.
Each operation is matched to FAA registry and aircraft reference data, so you see who flew, in what, and how heavy it was.
Aircraft that cannot be identified are shown as Unknown, never spread across other groups.
◆ Tail number, ICAO address and callsign for each operation
◆ Registered owner, aircraft make and model
◆ Aircraft class, engine type and weight
◆ Approach category and airplane design group
◆ Search any tail number to see where it was last seen
◆ N-number registry lookup in the 5010 workbench
Live Tracking and Replay
See the airfield now, and go back to see what happened.
A live map shows aircraft on and around your airfield, labeled by tail number. Replay lets you play back traffic from a past date and time.
◆ Live aircraft map for the airfield and surrounding airspace
◆ ADS-B on 1090 MHz, plus UAT on 978 MHz where received
◆ Replay of flights over the airfield within the past year
◆ Current weather and NOTAMs for the airport
Reports and Exports
Numbers you can hand to your board, your consultant or the FAA.
Reports are built from the same operations record as the live dashboards, carry the date they were generated, and can be regenerated on demand.
Every export links to our published data methodology and limitations.
◆ Dashboard charts of hourly and daily operations, split into arrivals and departures
◆ Operations summary reports as PDF
◆ Excel and CSV exports of the operations log
◆ Manager console with a one-click PDF packet: fleet mix, runway split, year over year and the operations event log
◆ History beyond the live view for any date range
◆ Custom reports set up for your airport and emailed on a schedule
Planning and FAA Support
Measured data for master plans, Part 150 studies and AIP projects.
The planning tools organize your operations data the way master plans, environmental work and grant applications need it.
AERO does not file Form 5010 for you. It gives you the operations categories and based aircraft candidates to support that work.
◆ Critical aircraft report that checks the FAA 500 annual operation threshold by aircraft type and by Airport Reference Code group
◆ Monthly operations and five-year trends
◆ Runway use, weight class and design group breakdowns
◆ Day and night splits using the Part 150 night window
◆ 5010 workbench with airport reference data, current weather and registry lookup in one place
◆ Pavement traffic by runway, taxiway and apron section for pavement management programs (preview)
Geofence Alarms
Get told when an aircraft enters an area you care about.
Draw zones on your airfield, or start from runway, taxiway and apron sections, then attach alarms to them.
◆ Zones for runways, taxiways, fueling areas or any custom area
◆ Alarms for any aircraft or a list of specific tail numbers
◆ Delivery by email, text message or an on-screen popup
◆ Active hours and a cooldown so alarms fire only when they matter
◆ Alarm history reports with export
Noise Management
Take complaints in, check them against real tracks, and close them out.
A complaint form can sit on your airport’s website. Each complaint lands in AERO, where staff can see the operations and tracks near that place and time.
◆ Noise complaint form you can embed on your website
◆ Complaint log with follow-up and resolution notes
◆ Nearby operations and flight tracks for each complaint
◆ Investigation tool: enter an address and radius to see every track that passed through it
◆ Excel export of complaints
FIDS, Kiosk and Website Displays
Put your airport’s traffic in the lobby and on your website.
AERO provides ready-made displays you can add to a lobby screen, a digital signage system or your airport’s website with a simple embed code or URL.
◆ Arrivals and departures board (FIDS) for lobby and terminal screens
◆ Kiosk mode for full-screen, always-on displays
◆ Flight schedule embed for your website
◆ Airport activity dashboard embed that shows totals only
◆ Noise complaint form embed
◆ Light and dark display options
